The Entertainment Design Technology Degree Program

The Entertainment Design Technology program is a two year, hands-on, program at Marshalltown Community College. Housed in the IVCCD Orpheum Theater Center on Main Street, students can obtain a degree in scenic design, lighting design and stage management. With these skills students are able to transfer to a university BFA program in technical theater and design, or go directly into the profession as a theater technician or assistant stage manager. The EDT Faculty and staff are Pip Gordon, Resident Designer and Director of the Orpheum, and Chris Winnemann, Technical Director.
